Low light photography in Porto

Porto by Night is designed to capture the beauty of Porto from sunset into the night. The start time varies to ensure we shoot during the most captivating light as the city transitions from dusk to dark. You’ll learn how to adjust your settings and master low-light photography as the evening unfolds.

The tour begins on the riverside, on the Gaia side (exact location confirmed after booking). We start with tripod photography, where I’ll assess your experience and guide you through camera setup and technique. We focus on panoramic views, creative compositions, and HDR shots to balance shadows and highlights.

Once you’re comfortable, we move around and switch to handheld photography, where using available light becomes key.

Smartphones are welcome! While tripod use is limited with phones, you'll still learn how to control light and shoot creatively. If the group is all using smartphones, we’ll skip the tripod part.

We end at Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar, with a stunning 270° view over the city.

The tour is limited to 3 participants with traditional cameras to ensure everyone has a tripod. If you're using a smartphone and the tour is fully booked, contact me—there may still be space.
